TiimPay is a digital wallet and agent-based cash transfer app. It lets you send money to any phone number and cash in or out through a network of local agents — no bank branch required.
Download the TiimPay app and sign up with your name, phone number and email. You'll set a password for signing in and a 4-digit PIN, which is what you use to confirm payments.
No. You only need a phone number and a nearby agent to cash in for the first time.
On the Home tab, tap Send Money, enter the recipient's phone number and the amount, then confirm with your PIN. Sending money requires a verified account — see Verification (KYC).
Sending is unavailable if your KYC isn't verified yet, your account is suspended or deactivated, or your PIN is locked. It can also fail if the recipient can't receive money right now — for example they haven't submitted KYC, their application was rejected, or their account is deactivated. The error shown in the app says which one applies.
Yes. Use Request Money from the app. The other person gets a notification and can accept or decline your request.
Some transactions may include a small fee. It is always shown before you confirm, so you can review it at checkout for any transfer or withdrawal.
You get an instant notification in the app whenever money is sent or received, and every transfer is listed in your transaction history.
Open the transaction from your history to see its status and details, then contact support with the date, amount and transaction code so we can look into it. See Contact us.
Visit a TiimPay agent with your phone number. Once the agent has processed your cash-in, the money appears in your wallet and you get a notification. Not sure where to go? Find an agent near you.
Ask a TiimPay agent to cash you out. The agent starts a withdrawal request, and you'll get a request in the app to review and approve before any money leaves your wallet.
Only approve withdrawal requests you personally started with an agent. If you don't recognize a request, decline it. If you think your account may be compromised, change your PIN right away and contact support.
Submit an application on the agent application page. Once you're approved, you can track your balance and daily transactions from the app.
Apply on the merchant application page. Once you're approved, customers can pay your business directly from their TiimPay wallet, including by scanning your QR code.
To meet regulatory requirements and prevent fraud we verify identity, and your verification status decides what you can do. Verified: send and receive money with full limits. Pending Verification or Under Review: you can receive money with reduced limits, but not send. Not submitted or Rejected: you can't send or receive until you're verified.
Open your Profile in the app and go to KYC Status. An application is either Pending Verification, Under Review, Verified or Rejected, and we send you an in-app notification and an email each time the status changes.
Most KYC applications are reviewed within 1–2 business days. You'll be notified as soon as a decision is made.
The KYC Status screen and the email we send both explain why it wasn't approved. Fix the issue and submit a new application from the same screen. If something is unclear, contact support.
Your name has to match the identity your KYC was verified against, so it can't be edited in the app. Send our support team your reason (for example a court order for a legal name change) along with supporting documents and we'll update it for you.
On the login screen tap Forgot Password?, enter your email and we'll send you a 6-digit reset code. The code expires after 10 minutes — request a new one if it runs out.
A forgotten PIN can't be reset from the login screen. Contact support and our team will verify it's you before resetting it. If you still remember your PIN and just want a new one, go to Profile → Change PIN.
Open your Profile in the app, then use Change PIN or Change Password under Security. You'll need your current PIN or password to do it.
Entering the wrong PIN 3 times locks it for 24 hours, and you can't send money while it's locked. It unlocks on its own after that, or you can contact support to have it lifted sooner.
3 failed sign-in attempts lock the account for 24 hours. Try again once the lock ends, or contact support to have it lifted sooner.
We email you and send an in-app notification when your PIN or password changes, when your PIN or sign-in is locked or unlocked, and when your account is suspended, reinstated, deactivated or reactivated. If you get one you don't recognize, contact us straight away.
Never share your PIN or password with anyone — including people who say they're from TiimPay. If you lose your phone or think someone has access to your account, change your PIN and password if you can and contact us immediately.
While an account is suspended you can still sign in, view your transaction history and receive money, but you can't send money, request money, approve withdrawals or check your balance. We notify you by email and in the app, including the reason given by our team. If you think it's a mistake, contact support. You'll be notified when the suspension is lifted.
A deactivated account can't sign in or make transactions. We notify you by email and in the app, including the reason. To ask about it, contact support.
You can close your account at any time by contacting our support team.
